The game had a very big importance for fourth-ranked Nafta Universitetas as it allowed them to take a leadership position in Group B. Nafta Universitetas defeated second-best Delikatesas in Klaipeda 80-68. It was a key game for the top position in Group B. The game was mostly controlled by Nafta Universitetas. Delikatesas was better in third quarter 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Nafta Universitetas forced 22 Delikatesas turnovers. Delikatesas was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Guard Evaldas Lengvinas (190-89) notched 20 points and 4 steals to lead the effort and guard Haroldas Venskus (180-91) supported him with 7 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Nafta Universitetas' coach Dainius Miliunas allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 14 points and 8 rebounds by guard Vidmantas Uzkuraitis (189-85) did not help to save the game for Delikatesas. Swingman Vaidotas Jatulevicius (194-88) added 14 points and 5 rebounds. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Delikatesas at the other side dropped to the third place with 14 games lost. Delikatesas will play next round against strong Radviliskis trying to get back on the winning streak. Nafta Universitetas will try to continue on its current victory against sixth ranked Matinga-Juod. at Marijampole.
