ProA top team - Mitteldeutscher BC (17-4) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Cuxhaven BasCats (9-12) 115-68. The game without a history. Mitteldeutscher BC led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 60.9 percent from the field and made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Mitteldeutscher BC forced 23 Cuxhaven BasCats turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. Mitteldeutscher BC looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Cuxhaven BasCats' players. American forward Arizona Reid (196-86, college: High Point) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 7 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Robert Holcomb Faye (185-84, college: Radford) contributed with 16 points and 8 assists for the winners. Holcomb Faye is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Mitteldeutscher BC players scored in double figures. Guard Jusuf El Domiaty (189-90, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) answered with 26 points and 6 rebounds and American power forward Nate Gerwig (206-83, college: Kent St.) added 7 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Cuxhaven BasCats. Mitteldeutscher BC maintains first place with 17-4 record. Cuxhaven BasCats at the other side keep the eleventh position with 12 games lost. They share it with Heidelberg and NBC. Mitteldeutscher BC are looking forward to face Webmoebel Baskets (#5) in Paderborn in the next round. Cuxhaven BasCats will play on the road against Leitershofen (#15) in Diedorf and are hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
