Regular Season Round 26: Naestved - Falcon 89-73

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Naestved (17-9) defeated at home bottom-ranked Falcon (6-20) 89-73 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Naestved. Falcon managed to win third quarter 25-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 21-of-23 free shots (91.3 percent) during the game. Naestved outrebounded Falcon 37-23 including a 27-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. American point guard Corin Henry (180-88, college: Tarleton St.) scored 25 points and 5 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and Lithuanian forward Nerijus Brasas (200-85) chipped in 13 points and 4 assists during the contest. Five Naestved players scored in double figures. Senegalese power forward Pape Ba (207-80, college: Beth.-Cookman) responded with 15 points and 8 rebounds and Mexican Robert Fields scored 15 points and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Naestved have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 17-9 record having five points less than leader Bakken. Falcon lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom place with 20 games lost. Naestved will meet Horsens IC (#5) in the next round. Falcon will play against Vaerlose (#6) and hope to secure a win.
