Regular Season Round 28: Azovmash - Ferro-ZNTU 96-86

Date: February 22, 2012
No shocking result in a game when third ranked Azovmash (19-10) beat 6th ranked Ferro-ZNTU (17-12) in Mariupol 96-86. The game was mostly controlled by Azovmash. Ferro-ZNTU was better in third quarter 21-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Azovmash players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Jerome Randle (178-87, college: California) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 6 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and the former international guard Artur Drozdov (199-80) who added 18 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Azovmash's coach Luca Bechi allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side American center R.T. Guinn (208-81, college: Baylor) responded with 24 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and his fellow American import guard Randy Culpepper (182-89, college: UTEP) scored 20 points and 4 assists.
