Everything could happen in Kaunas at the game between two tied teams. Both sixth ranked LKKA-Aistes and 7th ranked Ruta Siauliai had identical 6-16 record. This time LKKA-Aistes used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Siauliai 71-65 on Friday night. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 25-16. But Ruta Siauliai won third quarter 22-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. LKKA-Aistes forced 20 Ruta Siauliai turnovers. Ruta Siauliai was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for power forward Laura Svaryte (190-92) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. Center Volha Kapylova (187) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and forward Sandra Baliutaviciute (182-81) added 12 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Ruta Siauliai. LKKA-Aistes maintains sixth position with 7-16 record. Ruta Siauliai lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 17 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
