Regular Season Round 26: Langen - TSV Troester 61-86

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 7th ranked TV 1862 Langen (12-10) was smashed at home by eighth ranked TSV Troester (11-11) 86-61 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 25 points. Center Philipp Neumann (210-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 blocks. American guard Dion Harris (190-85, college: Michigan) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Forward Marco Voeller (201-89) replied with 13 points and 7 rebounds and American power forward Luke Fitzgerald (202-87, college: Cumberlands) added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for TV 1862 Langen. Four TV 1862 Langen players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. TSV Troester maintains eighth position in Group South with 11-11 record, which they share with Licher Baeren. TV 1862 Langen at the other side keeps the seventh place with ten games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
