Regular Season Round 24: EWE Baskets - Goettingen 78-60

There was no surprise in Oldenburg where 18th ranked BG Goettingen (2-22) was defeated by tenth ranked EWE Baskets (12-11) 78-60 on Saturday. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Kenny Hasbrouck (191-86, college: Siena) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 8 rebounds and power forward Adam Chubb (208-81, college: Pennsylvania, agency: Pro One Sports) who added 12 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. EWE Baskets' coach Predrag Krunic used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was guard Matt Bauscher (188-85, college: Boise St., agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) with 17 points (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) and forward Sean Evans (203-88, college: St.John's) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. EWE Baskets moved-up to eighth place, which they share with NY Phantoms and Telekom Baskets. BG Goettingen lost twelfth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 22 lost games. EWE Baskets will meet at home higher ranked Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (#6) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. BG Goettingen will play against BBC Bayreuth (#13) and hope to secure a win.
