Regular Season Round 21: OKK Beograd - Sloga 79-69

There was a small surprise when ninth ranked OKK Beograd (11-10) defeated at home 7th ranked Sloga (11-10) 79-69. The game was mostly controlled by OKK Beograd. Sloga was better in fourth quarter 16-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Sloga 45-25 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. OKK Beograd players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists. It was a good game for guard Vuk Malidzan (193-88) who led his team to a victory with 16 points and 8 assists. Stanoje Knezevic (202-89) contributed with 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. OKK Beograd's coach Vlado Djurovic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Djordje Tresac (193-87) answered with 16 points and 7 assists and American center James Tyler (218-88) added 11 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Sloga. Four Sloga players scored in double figures. OKK Beograd moved-up to eighth place, which they share with defeated Sloga. OKK Beograd's next round opponent will be higher ranked Borac (#5) in Cacak and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
