Regular Season Round 19: Jedinstvo NB - Mladost Zemun 88-75

There was a surprise result in Novi Becej where fourteenth ranked Jedinstvo NB (6-13) defeated much higher ranked Mladost Zemun (12-7) 88-75 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 50-33 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Jedinstvo NB made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Mladost Zemun turnovers. Mladost Zemun was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for guard Predrag Brankovic (185-83) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Strahinja Bogdanovic helped adding 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side Montenegrin power forward Nikola Vukovic (202-94) responded with 15 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and Lazar Rasic scored 17 points. Five Jedinstvo NB and four Mladost Zemun players scored in double figures. Mladost Zemun's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Jedinstvo NB moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Radnicki Stud. Mladost Zemun at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the second position with seven games lost. Jedinstvo NB will face higher ranked Crnokosa (#7) in Kosjeric in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Mladost Zemun will play at home against the league's leader Konstantin (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
