There was no surprise when 5th ranked Dorsten (14-10) was outleveled at home by third ranked SC Rasta Vechta (17-7) 102-81 on Saturday. The game without a history. SC Rasta Vechta led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 30-of-39 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. Dorsten was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Matt Reid (185-84, college: Cameron) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points and 4 assists. The other American import forward A.J. Rudowitz (198-88, college: Stonehill) contributed with 18 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. SC Rasta Vechta's coach Patrick Elzie felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American center Blake Poole (195-88, college: St.Martin's, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) replied with 16 points and 8 rebounds and naturalized American guard Gene Hagner (190-83) added 17 points and 4 assists in the effort for Dorsten. Five SC Rasta Vechta and four Dorsten players scored in double figures. SC Rasta Vechta have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in Group North, which they share with Herten. Newly promoted Dorsten dropped to the sixth position with ten games lost.
