There was no surprise in Bucuresti where 15th ranked Iasi (2-19) was defeated by twelfth ranked Rapid (5-16) 72-62. The hosts were ahead by 4 points but lost the second period ending it with a 3-point deficit before their 31-18 run, which allowed them to win the game. Rapid forced 25 Iasi turnovers. Iasi was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for center Cristina Perta (187-78) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds.
