Regular Season Round 27: Usak - Balikesir 63-73

Very expected game when 17th ranked Usak (8-18) was defeated at home by tenth ranked Balikesir (12-14) 73-63 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 42-29 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for American forward Charles Jackson (203-87, college: Hawaii-Pacific, agency: Court Side) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 8 rebounds. Power forward Orbay Kaya (205-82) helped adding 18 points. Balikesir's coach Ismail Dogrutekin used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was American guard Dijuan Harris (175-86, college: Charlotte, agency: ARN Sports and Entertainment) with 15 points and forward Nikolay Pastal (202-83) scored 9 points. Balikesir moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Darussafaka and Istanbul B.B. Loser Usak keeps the seventeenth position with 18 games lost. Balikesir will face higher ranked Maliye Milli (#5) in Ankara in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Usak will play on the road against Darussafaka (#9) in Istanbul.
