Regular Season Round 19: Rilski Sportist - Spartak Pleven 80-75

There was no surprise in Samokov where 7th ranked Spartak Pleven (3-16) was defeated by fourth ranked Rilski Sportist (11-8) 80-75. Spartak Pleven was ahead by 6 points after three quarters before a 22-11 charge of Rilski Sportist, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Spartak Pleven's 36. They outrebounded Spartak Pleven 43-29 including 28 on the defensive glass. It was a very good performance for Serbian power forward Filip Vukosavljevic (205-83) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 30 points and 14 rebounds. Serbian guard Branko Mirkovic (190-82, agency: Global Sports Plaza) contributed with 21 points and 4 assists for the winners. The former international forward Ilia Stankov (198-76) answered with 25 points and guard Tsvetoslav Ostrev (184-86) added 18 points and 4 assists in the effort for Spartak Pleven. Four Spartak Pleven players scored in double figures. Rilski Sportist moved-up to third place, which they share with Tundja Yambol. Spartak Pleven at the other side keeps the seventh position with 16 games lost. Rilski Sportist will play against league's second-placed Levski Sofia on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Spartak Pleven will play against Euroins Cherno More (#5) in Varna and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
