There was a minor upset in Allmendingen where 9th ranked Ehingen/Urspringschule (10-13) was defeated by eleventh ranked NBC (10-12) 88-84 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 88-84. NBC made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. Ehingen/Urspringschule was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Jaivon Harris (197-82, college: Ohio) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 4 steals and naturalized American power forward Ryan De Michael (205-77, college: Tenn-Martin) who added 14 points and 4 assists during the contest. NBC's coach Derrick Taylor used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American forward Andre Calvin (196-85, college: Drake, agency: Z.A.G. - Law Offices) with 29 points and 5 rebounds and center Andreas Buechert (208-87, college: Winthrop, agency: Limelight Hoops) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. NBC moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Heidelberg and Karlsruhe. Ehingen/Urspringschule at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the twelfth position with 13 games lost. NBC will face higher ranked Webmoebel Baskets (#5) in Paderborn in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Ehingen/Urspringschule will play on the road against Saar-Pfalz Braves (#14) in Homburg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
