Very expected game in Panevezys where 11th ranked Lietkabelis (3-13) was rolled over by third ranked Rudupis (14-3) 85-66 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Rudupis. Lietkabelis managed to win second period 23-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Simas Buterlevicius (200-89) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and forward Arnas Labuckas (205-87, agency: Interperformances) who added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Rudupis players scored in double figures. At the losing side center Vaidas Cepukaitis (207-89, agency: Interperformances) responded with 16 points and 8 rebounds and guard Sarunas Vasiliauskas (188-89, agency: Alti Sport) scored 10 points. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rudupis have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 14-3 record behind leader Lietuvos rytas. Loser Lietkabelis keeps the eleventh place with 13 games lost. Rudupis will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Lietkabelis will play against the league's leader Lietuvos rytas (#1) in Vilnius and hope to secure a win.
