Worth to mention about the upset in a game between BC Odessa (19-11) and Kryvbasbasket (11-19), which took place in Krivoy Rog. 4th placed BC Odessa lost to eleventh ranked Kryvbasbasket in a road game 75-85. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of BC Odessa. It looked good early as BC Odessa took an 1-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Kryvbasbasket had a 25-14 second period charge getting the lead and BC Odessa was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 75-85. They outrebounded BC Odessa 43-31 including 17 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was American guard James Florence (185-88, college: Mercer, agency: Pro One Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 5 rebounds, 10 assists and 5 steals. His fellow American import guard Pierce Caldwell (191-88, college: Incarnate Word, agency: Alti Sport) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. Caldwell is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Vincentian center Shawn King (208-82, college: ORU) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 5 blocks and American guard Jason Rowe (178-78, college: Loyola, MD) added 14 points and 9 assists respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Kryvbasbasket moved-up to tenth place. BC Odessa at the other side keeps the fourth position with 11 games lost. Kryvbasbasket will have a break next round. BC Odessa will play on the road against Hoverla (#6) in Frankivsk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
