Leader Brose Baskets recorded the twentieth first victory on Wednesday night. This time they crushed 14th ranked TBB Trier (8-16) 78-36 in Bamberg. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of TBB Trier. The game without a history. Brose Baskets led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding TBB Trier to just 4 points in third quarter and to 14 points in second half. Brose Baskets dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to TBB Trier's 28. Brose Baskets forced 19 TBB Trier turnovers and outrebounded them 40-27 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a quality performance of forward Anthony Leon Tucker (198-85, college: Texas) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and power forward Marcus Slaughter (204-85, college: San Diego St.) who added 11 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Nate Linhart (201-86, college: Akron) with 9 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Dru Joyce (183-85, college: Akron) scored 9 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Brose Baskets (21-2) have an impressive 15-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position. Loser TBB Trier keeps the fourteenth place with 16 games lost. Brose Baskets will meet Deutsche Bank Skyliners (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. TBB Trier will play against EWE Baskets in Oldenburg and hope to secure a win.
