The game between third ranked Beroe 07 (11-7) and fifth ranked Levski (8-11) was the most important one in the last round on Wednesday night. Beroe 07 was defeated by Levski in Sofia 74-58. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Beroe 07. The game was mostly controlled by Levski. Beroe 07 managed to win fourth quarter 14-6. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for American guard Juanita Ward (180-86, college: Syracuse, agency: Merit Sports) who led her team to a victory scoring 20 points and 5 assists. The former international forward Petya Djambazka (178-77) helped adding 21 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Ralitsa Naneva (178-86) responded with 24 points and 5 rebounds and center Zlatina Kaloferova (192-86) scored 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Beroe 07's coach Darin Velikov rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Levski maintains fifth place with 8-11 record. Beroe 07 at the other side keeps the third position with seven games lost. Levski's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Sofia to the arena Slavia.
