Not a big story in a game in Ankara where 11th ranked Istanbul B.B. (12-15) was defeated by third ranked Genc Telekom (20-7) 82-71 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Genc Telekom. Istanbul B.B. was better in fourth quarter 21-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Genc Telekom shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 61.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Istanbul B.B.'s players. Croatian power forward Nenad Delic (210-84, agency: TSS Management) fired a double-double by scoring 24 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Forward Mustafa Goerur (204-88) chipped in 22 points. Four Genc Telekom players scored in double figures. Guard Sezgin Eris (185-85) produced 18 points and guard Umutcan Ozyildirim (196-83, agency: 1x1 Sports) added 13 points respectively for lost side. Istanbul B.B.'s coach Hakan Kocakurt rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Genc Telekom maintains third position with 20-7 record having just two points less than leader Optimum TED. Loser Istanbul B.B. dropped to the ninth place with 15 games lost. Genc Telekom will face Vestel (#6) in Manisa in the next round. Istanbul B.B. will play at home against Gaziantep.
