Everything could happen in Vilnius at the game between two tied teams. Both twelfth ranked Meresta and 13th ranked Perlas-MRU had identical 18-21 record. But Perlas-MRU was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Pakruojis 97-87. The guests were ahead by 6 points but lost the second period ending it with a 2-point deficit before their 34-22 run, which allowed them to win the game. Meresta made 20-of-26 charity shots (76.9 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Perlas-MRU turnovers. Perlas-MRU was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Perlas-MRU's coach Mindaugas Sakalauskas rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Meresta maintains twelfth position in with 19-21 record. Perlas-MRU at the other side keeps the thirteenth place with 22 games lost. Meresta will play against Silute (#14) on the road in the next round. Perlas-MRU's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Vilnius to the arena Statyba.
