Regular Season Round 30: Halychyna - Mykolaiv 105-75

Bottom-ranked Halychyna managed to get a seventh victory. This time they outleveled eleventh-ranked Mykolaiv in Lviv 105-75. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 30-point difference proves that Halychyna was well-prepared to that game. Mykolaiv was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 57-26 second half run of Halychyna. They outrebounded Mykolaiv 36-23 including 22 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 59.1 percentage. Halychyna players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Mykolaiv's players. Serbian power forward Vladan Vukosavljevic (206-84, agency: Beo Basket) notched a double-double by scoring 26 points and 16 rebounds to lead the effort and Bosnian-Serbian forward Miroslav Todic (205-85) supported him with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Halychyna players scored in double figures. Halychyna's coach Zeljko Lukajic felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 26 points by American swingman Rodney Green (195-88, college: La Salle) did not help to save the game for Mykolaiv. His fellow American import center Daniel McClintock (212-77, college: N.Arizona) added 13 points and 6 rebounds. Halychyna maintains fourteenth position with 7-24 record. Mykolaiv lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with 21 games lost. Halychyna will play against higher ranked Kryvbasbasket (#10) in Krivoy Rog in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Mykolaiv will play on the road against DniproAzot in Dniprodzerzhynsk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
