Regular Season Round 25: BK Kremen - Ternopil 108-89

Bottom-ranked Ternopil-TNEU (0-22) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their 22th consecutive match to sixth ranked BK Kremen (14-10) 108-89. The game was mostly controlled by BK Kremen. Ternopil-TNEU was better in second period 28-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BK Kremen forced 24 Ternopil-TNEU turnovers. Forward Andriy Novikov (200-89) nailed 36 points (!!!) and 6 steals (on 14-of-18 shooting from the field) for the winning side and forward Sergei Stepanov (197-88) accounted for 23 points and 6 rebounds. Four BK Kremen players scored in double figures. BK Kremen's coach Andriy Kondrashov allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Center Sergyi Teleshko (209-92) came up with 32 points and 8 rebounds and guard Anton Nifonton (190-89) added 26 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Ternopil-TNEU in the defeat. BK Kremen moved-up to fifth place. Ternopil-TNEU at the other side still closes the standings. BK Kremen will play against BC-93 Pulsar (#6) in Rovno in the next round. Ternopil-TNEU will play at home against Koksokh-Stal (#8) in Alchevsk and hopes to get finally their first victory.
