Regular Season Round 20: SISU - Aabyhoj 113-72

Dameligaen top team - SISU (20-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Aabyhoj (6-14) in Copenhagen 113-72. It looked good early as Aabyhoj took an 1-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then SISU had a 34-15 second period charge getting the lead and Aabyhoj was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 72-113. SISU made 23-of-30 charity shots (76.7 percent) during the game. They also forced 33 Aabyhoj turnovers. The winners were led by American center Stephanie Madden (185-88, college: Langston) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 29 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks and forward Tea Jorgensen (177-87) supported her with 20 points and 5 steals (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Five SISU players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 21 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists by forward Courtney Coryea (185) did not help to save the game for Aabyhoj. Guard Maria Jespersen (179-94) added 11 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. Aabyhoj's coach Thomas Press gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. SISU have an impressive 20-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 20-0 record. Aabyhoj lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 14 games lost. They share the position with Amager and Lemvig. SISU will play against Vaerlose (#4) on the road in the next round. Aabyhoj will play against the league's second-placed Horsholm and hopes to get back on the winning track.
