Rather expected game when 9th ranked Darussafaka (12-16) lost to seventh ranked Final Genclik (18-10) in Bursa 68-79 on Wednesday. The hosts trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 50-34 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Final Genclik looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Darussafaka was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Cameroonian power forward Alfred Aboya (206-85, college: UCLA) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. point guard Erdem Ilter (-90) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Final Genclik players scored in double figures. Forward Burak Selen (202-88) answered with 14 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Jawan Carter (180-87, college: Delaware) added 16 points in the effort for Darussafaka. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Final Genclik moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Vestel. Darussafaka lost their third game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 16 games lost. Final Genclik will face Orman Genc (#19) in Ankara in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Darussafaka will play at home against Maliye Milli (#5) in Ankara.
