Leader Budivelnyk delivered the twentieth third win on Wednesday night. This time they beat 6th ranked Hoverla (18-14) 74-61 in Frankivsk. The game was mostly controlled by Budivelnyk. Hoverla managed to win third quarter 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was dominated by American players. point guard Jack McClinton (185-85, college: Miami, FL) fired 23 points for the winners. Forward Zach Morley (203-83, college: Wisconsin) chipped in 11 points and 9 rebounds. point guard Marcus Walker (186-86, college: Colorado St.) produced 19 points, 5 assists and 4 steals and point guard Dante Swanson (178-81, college: Tulsa) added 11 points respectively for lost side. Hoverla's coach Evgeni Murzin rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Budivelnyk have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 23-6 record. Hoverla at the other side keeps the sixth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Ferro-ZNTU. Budivelnyk are looking forward to face Dnipro (#8) in Dnepropetrovsk in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hoverla will play on the road against Khimik in Yuzhny and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
