Second Stage Round 11: Mazeikiai - Delikatesas 79-77

A very close game took place in Mazeikiai between Mazeikiai and Delikatesas. Seventh ranked Mazeikiai (23-18) got a very close home victory over 6th ranked Delikatesas (22-19). Mazeikiai managed to escape with a 2-point win 79-77 on Friday evening. Delikatesas trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 27-17 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 77-79 at the end of the game. Mazeikiai forced 24 Delikatesas turnovers. Five Mazeikiai and four Delikatesas players scored in double figures. Mazeikiai moved-up to fifth place in . Loser Delikatesas dropped to the eighth position with 19 games lost. Mazeikiai will meet higher ranked Matinga-Juod. (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Delikatesas will play against Triobet (#10) in Jonava and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
