Everything went according to plan when second ranked Selcuk Universitesi (23-6) defeated on the road 15th ranked Pamukkale (10-18) 79-64 on Saturday. The game without a history. Selcuk Universitesi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Selcuk Universitesi forced 21 Pamukkale turnovers. It was a good game for forward Ismail Cevik (206-81) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds. Forward Erdem Turetken (199-79, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Selcuk Universitesi players scored in double figures. Guard Goekhan Senol (183-84) replied with 20 points and 7 assists and center Ismail Esmeray (-86) added 11 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Pamukkale. Pamukkale's coach Firat Eser tested eleven players and allowed the starting five to rest. Selcuk Universitesi maintains second position with 23-6 record having just -1 point less than leader Optimum TED. Newly promoted Pamukkale keeps the fifteenth place with 18 games lost. Selcuk Universitesi will face Pertevniyal (#13) in Istanbul in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Pamukkale will play on the road against Istanbul B.B..
