We should mention about the upset which took place in Bursa, where higher ranked Tofas (11-11) lost at home to twelfth ranked Hacettepe Univ. (8-14) 71-79. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Hacettepe Univ. dominated on the defensive end, holding Tofas to just 7 points in second quarter. 25 personal fouls committed by Tofas helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Ricardo Marsh (207-81, college: ODU) notched 21 points to lead the effort and Ghanian-British forward Matthew Bryan-Amaning (205-88, college: Washington, agency: Interperformances) supported him with 12 points and 5 rebounds. Even a double-double of 17 points and 14 rebounds by American forward Bradley Buckman (203-84, college: Texas) did not help to save the game for Tofas. His fellow American import guard Taurean Green (185-85, college: Florida) added 15 points and 4 assists for lost side. Tofas' coach Nihat Izic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Hacettepe Univ. moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Mersin. Tofas lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with 11 games lost. Hacettepe Univ.'s next round opponent will be Trabzonspor (#15) at home.
