No shocking result in a game when second ranked Neftochimic (17-4) crushed 6th ranked Rilski Sportist (4-17) in Burgas 86-44 on Saturday. The game without a history. Neftochimic led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Rilski Sportist's 24. Neftochimic forced 28 Rilski Sportist turnovers and outrebounded them 43-28 including a 33-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Ukrainian guard Olga Dubrovina (170-87, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 4 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). The former international swingman Maria Tsankova (180-88, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Neftochimic's coach Peter Marinov felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Emi Ushaguelova (181-89) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and center Tsvetelina Nikolova (191-88) added 9 points in the effort for Rilski Sportist. Neftochimic have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion maintains second place with 17-4 record having just one points less than leader Dunav 8806. Newly promoted Rilski Sportist keeps the sixth position with 17 games lost. Neftochimic will have a break next round.
