Very important is a home loss of second ranked Lemminkainen (16-9) against fourth ranked Kibirkstis-Tiche (16-9) on Saturday night. Host Lemminkainen was crushed by Kibirkstis-Tiche in Klaipeda 98-77. The game without a history. Kibirkstis-Tiche led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Lemminkainen's 44 and made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. Kibirkstis-Tiche forced 27 Lemminkainen turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Lemminkainen's players. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Gintare Petronyte (196-89) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 19 rebounds and the former international center Kristina Vengryte (190-81) who added 19 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Monika Grigalauskyte (190-92) with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and international point guard Gabriele Gutkauskaite (172-90) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kibirkstis-Tiche moved-up to third place, which they share with defeated Lemminkainen. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
