Very expected game when bottom-ranked Slavia (0-21) was smashed by first ranked Dunav 8806 (19-1) in Ruse 78-45 on Saturday. The game without a history. Dunav 8806 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Slavia's 30. They outrebounded Slavia 57-29 including a 22-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Adrienne Johnson (182-89, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 9 rebounds. Her fellow American import guard Charel Allen (181-86, college: Notre Dame, agency: LBM Management) contributed with 12 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Five Dunav 8806 players scored in double figures. Dunav 8806's coach Georgi Bojkov felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Zornitsa Naydenova (172-89) answered with 12 points and 6 rebounds and the former international center Aleksandra Delcheva (202-87) added 6 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks in the effort for Slavia. Dunav 8806 have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain first place with 19-1 record. Slavia at the other side still closes the standings. Dunav 8806 will face Montana 2003 (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Slavia will play against Beroe 07 (#4) in Stara Zagora and hopes to get finally their first victory.
