The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Optimum TED (23-5) on the court of eighteenth ranked Usak on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Usak 66-54. It ended at the same time the 12-game winning streak of Optimum TED. The game without a history. Usak led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a good game for forward Nikolay Pastal (202-83) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 8 rebounds. American guard Doneal Mack (196-87, college: Memphis) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Center Hakan Yapar (202-84) replied with 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Nigerian-Canadian swingman Olumuyiwa Famutimi (198-84, college: Arkansas) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Optimum TED. Optimum TED's coach Murat Ozyer rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Usak (10-19) moved-up to sixteenth place, which they share with Istanbulspor and Baskent Genclik. Optimum TED at the other side still keeps top position with five games lost. Usak is looking forward to face higher ranked Gelisim (#12) in Izmir in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Optimum TED's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Ankara Maliye Milli.
