Regular Season Round 26: Brose Bask. - Walter Tigers 97-73

BBL top team - Brose Baskets (22-3) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed twelfth ranked Walter Tigers (11-15) in Bamberg 97-73. The game without a history. Brose Baskets led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American players dominated the game. Swingman Casey Jacobsen (198-81, college: Stanford) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points. Power forward Marcus Slaughter (204-85, college: San Diego St.) contributed with 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Brose Baskets' coach Chris Fleming felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Reggie Redding (196-88, college: Villanova) replied with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists and guard Louis Campbell (190-79, college: Buffalo, agency: Pro One Sports) added 10 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Walter Tigers. Four Brose Baskets and five Walter Tigers players scored in double figures. Defending champion maintains first position with 22-3 record. Walter Tigers at the other side keep the twelfth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Bayreuth. Brose Baskets are looking forward to face EWE Baskets (#9) in Oldenburg in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Walter Tigers will play at home against Eisbaeren Bremerhaven and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
