Regular Season Round 27: Ternopil - Koksokh-Stal 61-77

Bottom-ranked Ternopil-TNEU (0-26) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 77-61 loss to seventh ranked Koksokh-Stal (10-16) in Ternopil on Sunday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Koksokh-Stal. Ternopil-TNEU managed to win third quarter 19-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Ternopil-TNEU 44-29 including 30 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for power forward Aleksander Kolomiychuk (202-91) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Pavlo Haylo (182-87) helped adding 17 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was center Sergyi Teleshko (209-92) with 23 points and 7 rebounds and center Nikita Lange (202-92) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. Koksokh-Stal maintains seventh place with 10-16 record. Ternopil-TNEU lost their twentieth fourth game in a row. They still closes the standings. Koksokh-Stal will meet at home higher ranked Aviastar (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ternopil-TNEU will play against BC-93 Pulsar (#5) in Rovno and hopes to get finally their first victory.
