Leader FC Porto Ferpinta delivered the eighteenth victory. This time they beat 8th ranked Vitoria SC (7-12) 75-63. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Vitoria SC. It looked good early as Vitoria SC took an 4-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then FC Porto Ferpinta had a 27-15 second period charge getting the lead and Vitoria SC was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 63-75. FC Porto Ferpinta made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. FC Porto Ferpinta outrebounded Vitoria SC 57-31 including a 20-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Carlos Andrade (197-78, college: Queens, NC) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points and 18 rebounds. American forward Gregory Stempin (203-79, college: Toledo, agency: Duran International) contributed with 25 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. FC Porto Ferpinta's coach Moncho Lopez allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Brian Morris (205-87, college: Humboldt St.) answered with 14 points and 8 rebounds and Latvian forward Maris Gulbis (202-85, agency: Players Group) added 13 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Vitoria SC. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. FC Porto Ferpinta (18-1) have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place. Vitoria SC at the other side dropped to the seventh position with 12 games lost. They share it with Academica and Sampaense.
