Regular Season Round 27: LTi 46ers - B.Muenchen 71-80

Not a big story in a game in Giessen where 15th ranked LTi 46ers (8-19) were defeated by sixth ranked Bayern Muenchen (16-11) 80-71 on Wednesday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. The best player for the winners was American-Bulgarian center Jared Homan (206-83, college: Iowa St.) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds. American forward Chevon Troutman (202-81, college: Pittsburgh, agency: ACMT) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!). At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Barry Stewart (191-88, college: Mississippi St.) who recorded 21 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and Serbian guard Radenko Pilcevic (188-86) added 8 points and 8 assists respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bayern Muenchen have a solid series of four victories in a row. Newly promoted Bayern Muenchen maintains sixth place with 16-11 record. Loser LTi 46ers keep the fifteenth position with 19 games lost. Bayern Muenchen will meet at home higher ranked s Oliver Baskets (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. LTi 46ers will play against BG Goettingen (#18) and hope to secure a win.
