Regular Season Round 27: Fraport SKY - Goettingen 61-62

Bottom-ranked BG Goettingen managed to get a third victory, breaking the series of fourteen consecutive loses on Wednesday night. This time they edged eleventh-ranked Deutsche Bank Skyliners in Frankfurt 62-61. Deutsche Bank Skyliners were trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 22-20 charge of BG Goettingen, which allowed them to win the game. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for power forward Darrell Tucker (206-80, college: USF) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Forward Sean Evans (203-88, college: St.John's) helped adding 13 points and 6 rebounds. Four BG Goettingen players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Jimmy McKinney (192-83, college: Missouri, agency: Strategic Sports) with 15 points and 4 assists and forward Jacob Burtschi (198-84, college: Air Force) scored 4 points and 12 rebounds. BG Goettingen maintains eighteenth place with 3-24 record. Deutsche Bank Skyliners at the other side keep the eleventh position with 15 games lost. They share it with Walter Tigers. BG Goettingen are looking forward to face higher ranked LTi 46ers (#15) in Giessen in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Deutsche Bank Skyliners will play on the road against Artland Dragons (#4) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
