Regular Season Round 32: Halychyna - BC Donetsk 78-90

No shocking result in a game when second ranked BC Donetsk (24-8) beat bottom-ranked Halychyna (7-26) in Lviv 90-78. The game was mostly controlled by BC Donetsk. Halychyna was better in second period 17-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BC Donetsk dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Halychyna's 28 and made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. BC Donetsk brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Ramel Curry (192-80, college: CSU Bakersfield) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and Serbian point guard Vule Avdalovic (189-81, agency: Beo Basket) who added 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four BC Donetsk players scored in double figures. Serbian power forward Vladan Vukosavljevic (206-84, agency: Beo Basket) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and American guard Keddric Mays (183-84) scored 19 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. BC Donetsk have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 24-8 record having just -2 point less than leader Budivelnyk. Halychyna at the other side stay dead last with 26 lost games. BC Donetsk will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Halychyna will play at home against Ferro-ZNTU (#5) in Zaporozhye and hopes to get back on the winning track.
