Very important is a road loss of third ranked Genc Telekom (21-9) against seventh ranked Final Genclik (20-10) on Friday night. Visiting Genc Telekom was defeated by Final Genclik in Bursa 78-68. Genc Telekom was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 45-34 second half run of Final Genclik. They made 17-of-19 charity shots (89.5 percent) during the game. Final Genclik outrebounded Genc Telekom 39-24 including a 29-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for Cameroonian power forward Alfred Aboya (206-85, college: UCLA) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws). Forward Orcun Okkali (201-87) accounted for 15 points for the winning side. Final Genclik's coach Ali Ozbay allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Croatian power forward Nenad Delic (210-84, agency: TSS Management) came up with 22 points and forward Hazer Avci (206-87, agency: Court Side) added 12 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Genc Telekom in the defeat. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Final Genclik. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Vestel and Maliye Milli. Genc Telekom at the other side keeps the third position with nine games lost. They share it with Gaziantep. Final Genclik will play against higher ranked Gaziantep (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Genc Telekom's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Ankara Orman Genc.
