Very expected game when 13th ranked Cherkasy (8-24) was defeated at home by ninth ranked BC Kyiv (16-16) 86-69 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by BC Kyiv. Cherkasy was better in third quarter 19-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BC Kyiv forced 20 Cherkasy turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The victory was the third consecutive win for BC Kyiv. They maintain ninth place with 16-16 record. Cherkasy lost their third game in a row. They keep the thirteenth position with 24 games lost. BC Kyiv will face higher ranked Dnipro (#7) in Dnepropetrovsk in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Cherkasy will play at home against Azovmash (#3) in Mariupol.
