Everything went according to plan in Homburg where fourth ranked BV Chemnitz 99 (16-10) beat 14th ranked Saar-Pfalz Braves (7-18) 70-52 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by BV Chemnitz 99. Saar-Pfalz Braves managed to win third quarter 20-6. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Saar-Pfalz Braves to just 6 points in fourth quarter. They outrebounded Saar-Pfalz Braves 40-26 including 27 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American point guard Gary Johnson (188-82, college: Cent.Florida) who scored 19 points and 9 rebounds.
