There was a minor upset when 12th ranked Walter Tigers (12-16) were defeated on the road by fourteenth ranked TBB Trier (10-17) 74-58 on Saturday. The game without a history. TBB Trier led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Walter Tigers to just 6 points in first quarter. TBB Trier had a 28-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. Walter Tigers were plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international center Maik Zirbes (205-90) fired a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. The former international forward Philip Zwiener (198-85) chipped in 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four TBB Trier players scored in double figures.
