Regular Season Round 33: Azovmash - Khimik 95-80

The game between Top Four teams took place in Mariupol. Third ranked host Azovmash (21-11) defeated 4th placed Khimik (20-14) 95-80. Khimik was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Azovmash made 20-of-25 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Khimik's players. Khimik was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Americans were the main players on the court. point guard Jerome Randle (178-87, college: California) nailed 22 points and 6 assists for the winning side and swingman Matt Walsh (197-82, college: Florida) accounted for 16 points. Forward Reyshawn Terry (203-84, college: N.Carolina) came up with 14 points and power forward Aaron McGhee (203-79, college: Oklahoma) added 13 points respectively for Khimik in the defeat. Five Azovmash and four Khimik players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Azovmash maintains third place with 21-11 record having three points less than leader Budivelnyk. Khimik at the other side dropped to the fifth position with 14 games lost. Azovmash will play against Cherkasy (#13) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Khimik will have a break next round.
