Regular Season Round 29: Pulsar - Ternopil 95-70

Bottom-ranked Ternopil-TNEU is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their 28th consecutive match to fifth ranked BC-93 Pulsar (17-11) 95-70. The game was mostly controlled by BC-93 Pulsar. Ternopil-TNEU was better in second period 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BC-93 Pulsar dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Ternopil-TNEU's 40. BC-93 Pulsar forced 23 Ternopil-TNEU turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Swingman Taras Lipin (185-93) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 assists for the winners and forward Yuri Kuzminets (204-84) chipped in 14 points and 13 rebounds. BC-93 Pulsar's coach Mikhail Pereverziy felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pavlo Melashych responded with 11 points and 8 rebounds and guard Anton Nifonton (190-89) scored 12 points and 4 assists. Five BC-93 Pulsar and four Ternopil-TNEU players scored in double figures. BC-93 Pulsar have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 17-11 record. Ternopil-TNEU at the other side still closes the standings. BC-93 Pulsar will play against Sportlitsey (#8) in Bila Tserkva in the next round. Ternopil-TNEU will play on the road against the league's second-placed Avantazh-Politekhnik in Kharkov and hopes to get finally their first victory.
