Regular Season Round 33: BC Odessa - Budivelnyk 75-77

Sixth-ranked BC Odessa (20-15) gave a tough game to first ranked Budivelnyk (25-6) on Monday. The visitors from Kyiv managed to secure only two-point victory 77-75. However their fans expected much easier game. BC Odessa trailed by 18 points after 3 quarters before a 23-7 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 75-77 at the end of the game. Budivelnyk made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. Montenegrin-Bosnian swingman Suad Sehovic (197-87) stepped up and scored 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and Dominican guard Luis Flores (188-81, college: Manhattan) chipped in 18 points. Budivelnyk's coach Zvezdan Mitrovic used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Vincentian center Shawn King (208-82, college: ORU) with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds and American guard Jason Rowe (178-78, college: Loyola, MD, agency: Two Points) scored 12 points and 7 assists. Budivelnyk have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 25-6 record. BC Odessa at the other side keeps the sixth position with 15 games lost. Budivelnyk are looking forward to face Cherkasy (#13) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. BC Odessa will have a break next round.
