Regular Season Round 32: Usak - Tire Gucu 80-67

We should mention about the upset which took place in Usak, where higher ranked Tire Gucu (12-19) lost to eighteenth ranked Usak (11-20) in a road game 67-80 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Usak led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Tire Gucu's 28. They outrebounded Tire Gucu 43-21 including a 30-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was center Cem Coskun (209-87) who scored 19 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Nikolay Pastal (202-83) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. Four Usak players scored in double figures. American forward Justin Carter (193-87, college: Creighton, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) produced 24 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 14-for-14 from the free throw line !!!) and guard Ahmet Yolcu (184-78, agency: EM-PA) added 12 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Usak moved-up to sixteenth place, which they share with Istanbulspor. Loser Tire Gucu keeps the thirteenth position with 19 games lost. Usak will face Istanbulspor (#16) on the road in the next round.
