No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Vestel (21-10) defeated on the road 14th ranked Pamukkale (11-19) 66-61 on Wednesday. Pamukkale was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Pamukkale was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was forward Hadi Ozdemir (203-83) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points, 16 rebounds and 4 blocks. American power forward Pervis Pasco (206-81, college: Kansas St., agency: INVICTUS Sports Group) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. American center Will Caudle (206-82, college: Xavier) produced 15 points and 5 rebounds and Feyzi Celebioglu (-88) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Vestel have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Pamukkale dropped to the fifteenth position with 19 games lost. Vestel will face Pertevniyal (#13) in Istanbul in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Pamukkale will play on the road against TED Istanbul.
