Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fourth ranked Sangalhos and 7th ranked Maia Basket had identical 10-8 record. This time Sangalhos used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Maia 64-48 on Sunday night. The game was mostly controlled by Sangalhos. Maia Basket was better in fourth quarter 17-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sangalhos dominated down low during the game scoring 36 of its points in the paint compared to Maia Basket's 16. Sangalhos (11-8) moved-up to third place, which they share with Electrico FC and Angra. Loser Maia Basket dropped to the sixth position with nine games lost. Sangalhos will face Oliveirense (#7) in Oliveira in the next round. Maia Basket will play on the road against Angrabasket and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
