Not a big story in a game when 9th ranked Olivais (5-16) were defeated on the road by second ranked AD Vagos (19-2) 69-56 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by AD Vagos. Olivais was better in third quarter 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. AD Vagos dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Olivais' 24. They outrebounded Olivais 48-19 including a 33-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Brazilian center Flavia Santos (187-82) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds for the winners and international Joana Lopes (185-86) chipped in 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. AD Vagos have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 19-2 record having just -1 point less than leader Alges. Olivais lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 16 games lost. AD Vagos will face Boa Viagem (#5) in Angra Heroismo in the next round. Olivais will play at home against AFC-Liberty S.
