Regular Season Round 33: Vestel - Pertevniyal 83-70

Very expected game when 13th ranked Pertevniyal (12-20) lost to fifth ranked Vestel (22-10) in Manisa 70-83 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Vestel. Pertevniyal was better in third quarter 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for American power forward Pervis Pasco (206-81, college: Kansas St., agency: INVICTUS Sports Group) who led his team to a victory with 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Hadi Ozdemir (203-83) contributed with 12 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Vestel players scored in double figures. Center Ramazan Tekin (212-93) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Cedi Osman (195-95) added 9 points in the effort for Pertevniyal. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Vestel have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Maliye Milli. Loser Pertevniyal keeps the thirteenth position with 20 games lost. Vestel will face Akhisar Bld (#8) on the road in the next round. Pertevniyal's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Istanbul TED Istanbul.
